Dennis Hendricks & Lance Pisci Cited for Demonstrated Leadership Springfield – Today, Illinois State Police (ISP) Officials from the Division of Administration recognized two outstanding employees for their dedicated leadership and service. Over the course of the last six months, the Division of Administration has been engaged in planning and logistics to re-allocate space for additional employees at the Central Headquarters Complex. “Throughout this process, our Division has been faced with numerous challenges and an aggressive time frame to transform office space to accommodate other state agencies,” said Division of Administration’s Colonel Patrick Keen. “Several of the Division’s employees worked tirelessly to accomplish this goal, but it was the leadership and creativity that Denny provided for the team to make the transition a success,” he added. Dennis Hendricks has served the ISP’s Logistics Bureau for 19 years. He is being recognized for his outstanding service for meeting an aggressive timetable for space relocation during the fourth quarter of calendar year 2011. Hendricks’ task was to prepare space for approximately 150 additional employees at the Central Headquarters Complex. He directly supervised a major component to the success of this project in the moving and relocation of ISP work groups. With limited resources, a short time frame, and the lack of detailed floor plans, he and his team were able to accomplish the consolidation task. “This accomplishment is admirable by itself, but when you couple it with the uninterrupted continuation of normal everyday work responsibilities, the outcome is truly amazing, said Colonel Keen. “Denny’s leadership, job knowledge, eye for detail, and organization skill has always been a constant in his career, but high profile projects such as this relocation re-stack, make it visible for all to see,” Keen added. More than 150 employees have been successfully relocated to the Central Headquarters Complex, and potentially 130 more are scheduled to relocate within the coming year. Mr. Lance Pisci, a 18-year employee with the Information Services Bureau, is also being recognized for his outstanding service. He was tasked with the development and delivery of the E-Stop Card mobile application. In order to meet the aggressive deadlines, he was able to implement a very nontraditional development method to successfully meet the mark targeted by State Police Senior Command. “Lance expertly navigated through evolving requirements, and internal deadlines to deliver an application that gathers necessary information about individuals involved in enforcement related traffic stops,” said Colonel Keen. “His knowledge about search policies and contraband as well as his willingness to assist fellow employees demonstrate that he is committed to excellence,” Keen added. Keen also stressed that at a time when staffing levels have been drastically reduced in recent years, these individuals have accepted added responsibilities and serve as positive examples and leaders for the entire division. The Illinois State Police is proud to recognize employees who have demonstrated their ability to be leaders, innovators, and team players. The Agency supports all of its employees and takes pride in recognizing those who strive to exceed the expectations of excellence, safety and security on behalf of the citizens of Illinois. | Dennis Hendricks ISP Logistics Bureau | Lance Pisci ISP Information Services Bureau | |
