Cairo High School Hosts Seat Belt Forum

The Illinois State Police teamed up with Alexander County Coroner Willie Bingham at Cairo High School on January 20, 2012. The event was held in conjunction with the Operation Teen Safe Driving grant. The subject of the event was seat belt usage.

Coroner Bingham related his experiences as County Coroner with crashes that resulted in fatalities because the occupants were not wearing seat belts. Trooper Rice discussed myths and realities as they relate to seat belt usage. The event was hosted by the Cairo High School Beta Club, shown below.
