SPRINGFIELD, IL - The Illinois State Police (ISP) is currently recruiting for Trooper, Forensic Scientist, and Telecommunicator positions. ISP Recruiters will be attending the National Association of Black Law Enforcement Executives (N.O.B.L.E.) Career Fair, Wednesday, April 18. The fair, to be held at Lincoln Land Community College, 5250 Shepherd Road, Springfield, Illinois, is open to the public. Recruiters will be available from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. to discuss a career with the ISP, and to enroll individuals interested in participating in a remote-site test, which begins at 3 p.m.
The two-day remote-site testing, to be held April 18 and 19, for the position of Trooper includes
A mandatory orientation beginning at 3 p.m. on April 18, followed by a Physical Inventory Test from 3:30-6 p.m.
A suitability evaluation for qualified individuals from 8 a.m. - 4 p.m., including fingerprinting from 1 to 4 p.m.
Participants in the testing process must possess the minimum requirements listed below:
An Associate’s Degree in Arts or Science, an Applied Science Associate’s Degree in Law Enforcement, or equivalent general education course work, in addition to three years of continuous full-time service with the same police agency as a police officer
A Bachelor’s Degree Be a U.S. Citizen Have no felony convictions Possess a valid driver’s license Be willing to accept statewide assignment The Illinois State Police is an Equal Opportunity Employer |
