CRIME SCENE INVESTIGATOR COURSE - 160 HOURS
Illinois Law Enforcement Training and Standards Board certified for reimbursement
Enrollment:  20 Minimum, 30 Maximum
Session Time:  160 Hours
Upcoming Course:  April 16, 2012, through May 18, 2012 (Class is full no longer taking applicants)

Tuition: $2,364.95 for resident at the academy (includes lodging and meals)
$2,039.45 for the commuter rate (includes lunches only)
 

This five week intensive instruction is designed to establish advanced competency in the discipline of crime scene processing. The class will cover photography, latent prints, firearms, all of the laboratory disciplines, evidence packaging and submission, footwear, tool marks, death investigation, autopsy protocol, crime scene sketching, and courtroom testimony.

Each student must achieve a minimum score of 70 percent on all written examinations and successfully complete all practical exercises.

Each participant must be a full-time, non-probationary federal, state, or local law enforcement officer. Civilian personnel will be accepted with a letter from the Chief of Police verifying that the person will serve as a full time Crime Scene Investigator.
