Uniform Crime Report Updates 2009 - July through December
December 8, 2009 Update
The deadline to submit 2008 legacy converted index
crime statistics to be forwarded to the FBI has been
extended to December 28, 2009.
Revised Supplemental (domestic violence, crimes against
children, and attacks against school personnel) reporting
guidelines are at the bottom of this page under Uniform Crime Reporting Program Forms and Reporting Guidelines. The revised collection
form will not be posted until January to prevent premature
use. Agencies may request a copy of the revised form
through the I-UCR Program if needed for modifications
to current report management systems.
Revisions to the Illinois Uniform
Crime Reporting (I-UCR) Program reporting guidelines have
been finalized. The resulting Program is federally compliant
while retaining select reporting elements of the current
I-UCR Program. This approach ensures valued crime statistics
outside the realm of the federal program are retained,
as well as maintaining compliance to ILCS crime statistic
collection mandates. The revised Program will be implemented
in 2010 and is comprised of the following five reporting
elements:
Index Crimes
Supplemental (domestic violence, crimes against children,
and attacks against school personnel)
Hate Crime
Law Enforcement Officer Killed or Assaulted (LEOKA)
Homicide
The revised Index Crime reporting guidelines are posted at the bottom of this page under Uniform Crime Reporting Program Forms and Reporting Guidelines. The reporting guidelines for the remaining reporting elements will be posted as they become available. There is no change to the current Hate Crime form or reporting guidelines which are also found at the bottom of this page under Uniform Crime Reporting Program Forms and Reporting Guidelines.
