Registrations for the class are still being accepted. This is the LAST training scheduled for the revised I-UCR Program reporting guidelines that went in to effect January 2010. Due to technical issues, the modifications to the website for the electronic reporting tool will now take place on October 19, 2011.
The modifications to the website for the electronic reporting tool announced in the previous update will not occur until October 12, 2011.
The website for the electronic reporting tool is undergoing modifications that will be effective September 28, 2011. The link to access the tool will not change. The first screen will remain the sign-on screen. After entering your user id and password, you will be taken directly to the Illinois Uniform Crime Reporting Program Welcome Page. It will no longer be necessary to select the Illinois Uniform Crime Reporting Program link from the I-CLEAR screen which previously appeared after sign-on. Agencies will not be able to access the link to the Federal UCR Initiative which concluded December 31, 2010. The remaining modifications will not be apparent to the user.
An additional training date and location has been added to the schedule posted in the August 29, 2011 update. Lombard Police Department will be hosting training on November 9, 2011.
The state-wide training initiative addressing the
revisions to the I-UCR Program reporting guidelines
will conclude In November. The September through
November schedule can be found in the attachment
below. Agencies are strongly encouraged to take advantage
of this training opportunity, and repeat attendance
is not discouraged. 2010 Index crime data previously
submitted cannot be accepted unless the revised forms
and guidelines were used. As a reminder, 2010 index
crime data must be submitted by December 14, 2011,
in order to meet the Federal UCR Program’s deadline
date. Data received after that date will not be published
in Crime in Illinois, nor will the data be forwarded
to the Federal UCR Program.
There are several important deadline dates regarding the submission of 2010 and 2011 Index Crime statistics.
Index crime statistics for January through June 2011 must be submitted by
August 25, 2011, for agencies whose populations are 100,000 or more, to be included in the Federal UCR Program’s semi-annual publication, Crime in the United States.
Index crimes statistics for January through June 2011 must be submitted by all other agencies by September 16, 2011, to be included in the Federal UCR Program’s semi-annual publication, Crime in the United States. Statistics are in a table for all other agencies but are not listed individually for each agency.
The deadline for submission of index crime statistics for 2010 has been extended to December 14, 2011, to match the Federal UCR Program’s deadline. Additionally, Hate Crime reports and Supplemental Data for 2010 will not be accepted after this deadline.
