The state-wide training initiative addressing the
revisions to the I-UCR Program reporting guidelines
will conclude In November. The September through
November schedule can be found in the attachment
below. Agencies are strongly encouraged to take advantage
of this training opportunity, and repeat attendance
is not discouraged. 2010 Index crime data previously
submitted cannot be accepted unless the revised forms
and guidelines were used. As a reminder, 2010 index
crime data must be submitted by December 14, 2011,
in order to meet the Federal UCR Program’s deadline
date. Data received after that date will not be published
in Crime in Illinois, nor will the data be forwarded
to the Federal UCR Program.
There are several important deadline dates regarding the submission of 2010 and 2011 Index Crime statistics.
Index crime statistics for January through June 2011 must be submitted by
August 25, 2011, for agencies whose populations are 100,000 or more, to be included in the Federal UCR Program’s semi-annual publication, Crime in the United States.
Index crimes statistics for January through June 2011 must be submitted by all other agencies by September 16, 2011, to be included in the Federal UCR Program’s semi-annual publication, Crime in the United States. Statistics are in a table for all other agencies but are not listed individually for each agency.
The deadline for submission of index crime statistics for 2010 has been extended to December 14, 2011, to match the Federal UCR Program’s deadline. Additionally, Hate Crime reports and Supplemental Data for 2010 will not be accepted after this deadline.
